I was born and raised in Sussex County, New Jersey, where my family operated a business for 40 years. I attended Pope John XXIII High School in Sparta, New Jersey.

I received my B.A. in Psychology, with high honors, from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 1988. While attending Rutgers, I worked as a pharmacy technician at a large teaching hospital, where I learned medical terminology and the art of reading medical records. This skill allows me to identify objective medical evidence that supports my Social Security disability clients’ impairments. I also volunteered for an agency that provided education and counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders.

I received my law degree with honors from Seton Hall University in Newark, New Jersey in 1996. I passed the New Jersey Bar in 1996. I am also admitted to practice before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before starting my own law practice in 2005, in which I concentrate in representing Social Security disability and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claimants, I had a broad range of legal experience in a variety of settings.

I am a sustaining member of National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). I also am a member of the Sussex County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association. I have participated in the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. I serve my community as a member of the Sussex County Mental Health Board.

I live in Sparta, New Jersey with my husband, John. In my free time, I like to hike and bike in search of wildlife, especially birds. I enjoy creating mosaics from found objects and listening to music.
