Virginia Johns, Office Manager/Paralegal
Born and raised in New York, I now call New Jersey home. You may have seen my picture in the NJ Herald; I was photographed in a dance contest at a Pow Wow! Two of my lifelong paths have been law and health, fitness and dance. I have worked in law for over 30 years and continue to love the field. For 4 years I owned and operated a center for yoga and education. My Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree comprises four major areas of study – psychology, yoga, women’s studies and performance. I am certified through New York University as a fitness educator and authored the manuscript: The Divine Feminine: For Women, A Journey of Re-membering. In addition, I have trained with DASI, Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Intervention Services, Inc. and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, receiving certifications in both. Recently, I completed training through Intensive Family Support Services of St. Clare’s Hospital and received a certification in Mental Health First Aid.
Working with Social Security Disability law is perfect for me. It enables me to support those seeking means to recover a quality of life. I like being part of a small practice which affords me the opportunity to know our clients well. Having recovered myself from a severe motor vehicle accident, I understand the difficulties in trying to re-establish functionality, earn a living, and overcome mental and emotional challenges. I love the work I do, the people I meet, and look forward to continue being of service.
Gardening, yoga, dance and cooking are my favorite ways to spend my free time.
